What are the requirements for membership?

Membership gives you rights to the assets of the mutual and involves a one-off membership fee of 0.0020 ETH (~ $5.45).
To become a member, you will need to verify your identity using our Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process. If this fails, your membership fee will be refunded to you.
Unfortunately we cannot accept members from the following jurisdictions. We are working hard to try and reduce this list in the future.

By becoming a member you agree to the conditions specified in the DAO Member Agreement.

Will I get a notification when the KYC process is complete?

We do not send out any notifications when your membership is complete. To respect the privacy of our users, we do not send out email or SMS notifications when the membership process has been completed.

How do I know when the KYC process is complete and my membership is confirmed?

After you pay the membership fee and submit the necessary documents for the KYC process, your documents will be processed. This can take up to 48 hours.
To check if membership is complete, go to the Nexus Mutual user interface:
If you see the | My Holdings | My Covers | My Claims | Membership | menu, then your KYC documents have been processed and you now have all of the benefits that come with being a member in the mutual.
If you see the Membership Fee language with the legal disclaimer, then your KYC is not yet complete.
If the KYC process takes longer than 48 hours, go to the Nexus Mutual Discord and leave a message in the ✅ kyc-assistance channel.
